Downtown continues ‘clean & green’ image this summer, via Indianapolis Downtown, Inc:

WHO:
Three hundred seniors from Lawrence Central High School will clean eight Downtown sites Friday as part of Indianapolis Downtown, Inc.’s (IDI) “Company’s Coming” program, in partnership with IndyParks and Recreation and the high school’s Senior Service Day.
WHAT:
This year marks the 13th anniversary of Lawrence Central High School seniors’ involvement to spruce up Downtown for the city’s thousands of May visitors. Their efforts contribute to the overall image of Downtown as clean, safe and beautiful.

These students serve as inspiration to others as they work unselfishly to improve the look and image of Downtown. You can do your part in supporting their efforts by refraining from littering and keeping Downtown clean.

WHEN:
Friday, May 9 § 9:30 -11:30 a.m.
WHERE:
These locations offer the best photo opportunities:
§Indiana War Memorials (St. Clair Street moving south)
§White River State Park (Washington Street to White River Parkway)
§Canal Walk (Ohio Street basin north to 11th Street)
§Mass Ave (10th and Bellfontaine streets southwest to Delaware Street)

FYI:
In 2008, 81 percent of Central Indiana residents surveyed indicated that Downtown is clean, according to the Indianapolis Downtown, Inc. Downtown Biennial Perception Survey.
