Hamilton Southeastern senior Matt Maloof, whom HSSTM featured in "The Outsiders" story from the February issue, signed a Letter of Intent on Thursday, May 8 to continue is basketball career at Depauw University in Greencastle.


Maloof, the son of Mark and Aliceann Maloof, is a two-year varsity letter winner for the Royals and was selected All-Hamilton County and honorable mention All-Hoosier Crossroads Conference. He led the Royals this past season in scoring (15.1 ppg) and 3-pointers made (70). For his career, Maloof shot over 44 percent from behind the arc.


Depauw is an NCAA Division III institution that competes in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference under the direction of coach Bill Fenlon. The winningest coach in Depauw men's baseball history, Fenlon will be heading into is 17th season as head coach for the Tigers and 24th on the collegiate level.
